Pastor Christine Webb
Church Office: 352-237-5777 email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Pastor Christine loves Jesus Christ and His Church and is passionate about reaching out to others to show God's love.
Christine is the Lead Pastor at St. John's United Methodist Church, a vibrant, loving congregation in the community of Cotton Plant. Even before Florida became a state in 1845, the community of Cotton Plant began settling in 1842 as a farming and cotton growing area. The names of some of these early settlers can be found in St John's Cemetery.
St John's is known as a warm, loving, gracious church family and we hope you will feel the love of God as soon as you come through our doors. We want you to know at St. John's you are considered family because you are children of God.
Pastor Christine is currently attending Asbury Theological Seminary, pursuing a Master of Divinity Degree. Previously she was a television anchor in New York and Orlando, Fl. It was back in 2010, God was calling Christine to go on a mission trip. The Lord would open up all the doors for her to travel to Haiti. Christine was there, trapped and almost died during the 7.0 earthquake in Haiti and needed to be rescued by the U.S. military in black hawk helicopters. It was during this time, Christine began to send reports back on her iPhone and sharing her faith. Only God would know that Christine would be the only American reporter there at the time of the earthquake and the first to send reports back. Her reports and her journey of faith would be seen on CNN all over the world. It was during this time she knew God was calling her into ministry.
Pastor Christine was born and raised in New York. Her parents both had vision impairments, yet she knows and remembers how strong her parents faith and trust in the Lord were and the seeds they planted for her ministry. She has a "missionary" dog named Caleb who loves to show the love of Jesus to others. And, you will also find Christine's Mom, Kathleen, serving St. John's as she loves to sing in our choir.
Pastor Christine is so excited to serve at St. John's and knows God has great things in store for this wonderful community.
